2020 (as a senior club)
Home Town / Village
The football ground is the former ground of FC Nomads of Connah’s Quay, and within the grounds of Wepre Park, situated to the south of Connah’s Quay and Shotton. The ground is just a short walk up from the park’s entrance, with a café nearby to purchase drinks and snacks. In addition, you can enjoy a relaxing walk along Wepre Brook and Wepre Park, which will lead up to the ruined castle of Ewloe Castle. There is plenty of car parking available at the park’s entrance
The nearest train station to the ground is the one in Shotton, which is about 1,5 miles / 25 minute walk away along the high street before turning up Wepre Park road. There are a number of pubs nearby the train station and along the high street, as well as shops. The park has a bus stop outside its entrance, which is covered by the Bus Route 8 service.
A new name in Welsh football and another club representing the region of Deeside, Deeside United were scheduled to play in the newly created North East Wales Football League Championship (5th tier in the Welsh football pyramid) before the season was halted for all leagues under the Cymru Premier due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
