Black shirt with tangerine middle stripes and tangerine trim, black shorts, black socks
The football ground is situated along the Dock Road of Connah’s Quay, a road which runs alongside the River Dee and is just off the main coast road B5129. Despite the icon on the map (which I cannot move for some reason), the football ground is found along Dock Road, through the industrial estate, nearby to the Wales Coastal Path and Wepre Brook.
The nearest train station to the ground is the one in Shotton, which is about 1,5 miles / 25 minute walk away. There are a number of pubs nearby the train station, as well as along the high street, as well as shops. There are no bus stops nearby the ground, so walking along the Coastal Path or a taxi is your best option from the train station to the football ground.
Connah’s Quay have had a number of clubs alongside CQ Nomads throughout the years, although since FC Nomads resigned from the Welsh National League prior to the 2019-20 season, Connah’s Quay have been without a second team. However in 2020, it was announced that Connah’s Quay Town, in collaboration with the successful Connah’s Quay Tigers junior club, would be competing in the subsequent cancelled 2020-21 season and provide a senior outlet for the Tigers’ junior sides. This will be the second time a Connah’s Quay Town team will appear, with the first (and unrelated) edition of the club last appearing in the 2012-13 Welsh Alliance Division Two season.
