The football ground is situated on the eastern outskirts of the village, found next to the Ysgol Merllyn primary school. It can found up a one-way street which leads from the high street and besides the prominent Saint Mary’s church, which overlooks the village, on the old riverbank. There is some car parking available at the school, with plans to establish a stand which sells snacks and drinks also.
Bagillt can be easily reached from Flint train station with regular Rhyl-Chester bus services travelling from Flint to the village via the Bus Route 11, Route 18 or Route 19, although it is only a short 5 minute taxi ride from the station. The nearest bus stop to the ground is the St. Mary’s Church stop, which is only a couple of minutes down the hill from the ground. The nearest pub is The Blossoms Pub, situated a short walk southeastwards along the high street and from the ground, as well as a convenience store and shops.
AFC Bagillt are a brand new team who will represent the historical mining village of Bagillt, and they will start their history in the fifth-tier North East Wales Championship league.
Bagillt has an illustrious history within the Flintshire football scene with former team, Bagillt Hotspurs, being a historical local team which competed within the higher leagues of northern Welsh football from the 1950s until the 1990s.
